FEGARMY (FEG) History
FEGARMY was entered into the registry of economic associations under the name Arms and Machine Factory Co. on February 24, 1891 in Hungary. This was the day the factory started the large scale manufacturing of arms. In 1929 in the European championship held in Stockholm, the hunter rifles of the FEG company were the first among the products of the large gun-makers of the world. During WWII in addition to providing arms for the Hungarian Army the company also manufactured large volumes of war weapons for export. After WWII the company manufactured products that ranged from the Kalashnikov-system light machine guns and expanded their selection of pistols, ball and shot-guns for hunting and air rifles. Over the years FEG products have become more popular domestically as well as foreign markets. For a little more than a century the name and manufacturing profile of the company has changed several times, however, it has always retained the production of arms as their main activity. The three letters of the company logo denotes a factory and a profession of a successful past which has justified in its history that its products are the creative work of masters of the crafts which acquired renown not only in the domestic markets but also in several countries of the world.
